See for Yourself
The NSB plans to continue the “See for Yourself” program in 2011.The program helps soybean farmers in Nebraska get firsthand knowledge and experience with how their checkoff dollars are invested.
Farmers selected for the program attend checkoff sponsored activities to better understand how the checkoff builds demand for soybeans to increase farmer profitability. The primary goal of the program is to encourage and facilitate more soybean farmer involvement in leadership within the soybean industry.
The program incorporates in-state, national and international activities. The in-state program enables farmers to attend functions in Nebraska vital to the continued success of the soybean industry. The national program allows farmers to attend activities and national meetings sponsored by the United Soybean Board, U.S. Meat Export Federation, National Biodiesel Board, U.S. Soybean Export Council and U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council. The international program is designed to provide soybean farmers first-hand experience in checkoff efforts to build demand for U.S. soy abroad, such as aquaculture, which builds demand for Nebraska soybeans on a global scale.
The NSB is committed to increasing your profitability from soybeans and wants to provide you with personal experiences to better understand checkoff activities.
