Real Answers from Nebraska Soybean Farmers: Ask A Farmer

May 26, 2026

Consumers are more curious than ever about how their food is grown, how farmers care for the land and how agriculture fits into everyday life. That curiosity creates an opportunity—and Nebraska soybean farmers are stepping up to meet it.

Through the Ask a Farmer video series, the Nebraska Soybean Board is helping connect consumers directly with the people who know agriculture best: farmers themselves. By answering common questions in a clear, honest and relatable way, the series gives viewers a closer look at how soybeans are grown in Nebraska and how farm families make decisions every day with stewardship, efficiency and long-term sustainability in mind.

Farmers explain not only what they do, but why they do it—offering perspective on the careful management, technology and responsibility that go into raising a crop. That kind of transparency matters. For many consumers, agriculture can feel far removed from daily life. The Ask a Farmer series helps close that gap by putting a face to farming and giving Nebraska farmers the chance to share their own stories in their own words. It is a reminder that behind every acre is a producer making thoughtful decisions for their operation, their community and future generations.

Together, the videos help make agriculture more accessible by answering common questions through real on-farm experience. Most importantly, the series gives viewers the chance to hear directly from Nebraska farmers in their own words, helping build understanding and trust while showing the far-reaching value of soybeans in Nebraska and beyond.
