Greg Anderson, farmer and Nebraska Soybean Board district director from Newman Grove has an update on the On-Farm Biodiesel Credit program and year two of the biodiesel partnership between Arrow Stage Lines, Husker Athletics and the Nebraska Soybean Board.

This week, we talked to Sophia Svanda, the new Communications and Education Coordinator for the Nebraska Soybean Board. Sophia will play a pivotal part in driving educational initiatives and amplifying the voice of Nebraska’s soybean farmers through strategic communications.

Adam Leise is the new director of the Nebraska On-Farm Research Network. We learn a little about him and an update on the network operations, including how he plans to expand research collaborations with farmers across the state to drive better data-driven decision-making.

Mike Steenhoek, executive director of the Soy Transportation Coalition, highlights the critical role ports play in exporting soybeans and other commodities, as well as red meat and poultry, which rely on soybeans as feed. Despite temporary agreements at the ports, Steenhoek says that ongoing instability could still disrupt U.S. agricultural exports.

Wesley Wach, Demand and Utilization Coordinator with the Nebraska Soybean Board, recaps the many trade team visits to Nebraska this fall. These visits provided international buyers with a firsthand look at Nebraska’s soybean production and gave buyers a chance to meet farmers on their operations.

Andy Chvatal, executive director of the Nebraska Soybean Board, shares some important harvest safety reminders as farmers prepare for one of the busiest and most critical times of the year.

Chris Proctor, UNL Associate Extension Educator, provides an update on the TAPS (Testing Ag Performance Solutions) soybean competition, an innovative program that challenges producers to optimize their farming practices through data-driven decision-making.

Ruth Ready, farmer and outgoing Nebraska Soybean Board district director from Scribner recaps last week's NSB meeting and her time of service on the board.

Cami Wells, a UNL Extension Educator, recaps the 4-H Culinary Challenge that highlighted the versatility of soy at this year's Nebraska State Fair. The event brought together talented youth from across the state, who showcased their culinary skills by creating innovative dishes that incorporated soy-based ingredients.
